Core4Element has taken the finest 100% New Zealand merino wool and made the perfect top for your outdoor adventures. Merino wool is some of the finest fibers found in nature. Our New Zealand wool producers have perfected the process from growing, to sorting, to weaving, to produce the softest, most durable, most comfortable merino wool for against the skin.
Core4Element has innovated the Merino ¼ zip Hybrid by body mapping 190 gram merino wool in the naturally hotter areas of the body and 250 gram merino wool in the naturally cooler areas of the body. Our fit of the Merino Hybrid is for enhanced comfort and motion of the mountain hunter. Our fit follows the natural movement of the hunter for a better fit and greater comfort while at the same time helping maintain your temperature through body mapping the different weights of merino wool in strategic areas.

This is the first sample on our Wind River Glove. It is a stretch woven fabric on the back with a goat leather palm on the front.

It has already spent 5 days being tested back country skiing and got rave reviews. We are making a couple tweaks to the cuff and testing another fabric to make sure we bring you the very best in performance. Just a part of what we do.
- Articulated
- Highly Breathable
- Weather Resistant
- Fitted
Here is a photo from Kendall’s backcountry ski trip where he tested these prototypes over 4 days of skiing, climbing and wood cutting. They held up well with no real wear and tear.

The benefits of body mapping is to control our bodies natural hotspots and cool spots. In order for us to regulate our temperature we sweat to cool off. When you combine sweat with heat it makes a moist warm climate that is perfect for growing bacteria. Bacteria are what cause body odor and creates the scent that we are all trying to eliminate.
Core4Element designs and builds its clothing to help control these areas by body mapping. The areas that we focus on are under the arms, a naturally hot area of the body and on the back between the shoulder areas. As mountain hunters we are usually wearing a pack and this causes the back to be an even warmer area than normal. Core4Element uses less insulation, thinner fabrics, and more breathable fabrics in these areas. In the areas were we need to retain heat and are not as naturally warm we use more insulation, thicker fabrics, and still focus on breath-ability.
Body Mapping is:
• More comfortable
• More breathable
• More effecient
• Lighter weight
• Less bulk

Water repellent down technology has hit the industry like a ton of feathers. Core4Element has studied and followed this technology to see how it would perform and who has perfected it. So what is the skinny on Downtek by Down Décor.
Down Décor has 5 generations of experience with down insulation. To sum it up Down Décor has forgot more about down than “Mother Goose”.
Using nano technology and proprietary application process, Down Décor has created a water repellent down filling material that effectively eliminates all of the previous negative attributes associated with down.
With the introduction of DownTek, these negative attribute are a thing of the past. A micro-thin nano polymer is applied to the down, creating a water repellent insulation that actually floats on water. DownTek repels water while maintaining its loft and insulation value, even in the wettest of conditions.

I’m stoked for the New Elevation Lightweight Downtek Insulated Jacket.

There is nothing better than shedding weight in your gear while at the same time getting more warmth and comfort. That is why I am so excited to be using the Elevation Jacket. We haven’t even started spring yet and I am excited for the fall just to be able to put the Elevation Jacket to use.
Putting on the Elevation jacket that weighs less than the t-shirt you wear every day and having the euphoric feeling of warmth come over you is epic. Fall never comes fast enough, now it is going to be even more anticipated.
The Cool Factor
• Water repellant Downtek Down
• Weighs 13.4 ounces (size L) that is less than a 100% cotton t-shirt in size L
• Made with the best fabrics available today
• Packable and doubles as pillow
Clayton McDowell from Wisconsin
“The Elevation Jacket is definitely a must for us cold weather hunters. Nothing keeps you warm like Down.”
